In the 1970s, Founding Attorney Daniel Farrell opened a private practice to address the legal needs of the local community. Over decades, the practice has grown and the number of clients that the law firm has represented has reached the thousands. The firm continues its longstanding tradition of maintaining its headquarters on the southwest side of Cook County.

Founding attorney
Daniel James Farrell
Attorney Daniel Farrell Sr. has been successfully representing clients for over 40 years. His areas of practice include a wide range of legal issues, including Probate, Estate Planning, Commercial Transactions, and Residential Real Estate Transactions. Dan Sr. has also litigated several injury cases to successful verdicts and settlements.
In the mid 1980’s, Dan Sr. expanded the law firm’s business to include real estate transactions, both residential and commercial, and Estate Planning and Probate. In the late 1990’s, though the firm continued its work in personal injury and residential real estate matters, Dan Sr. began to concentrate his efforts on Estate Planning and Probate matters. His decades of experience in these fields has provided him with with keen insight to guide clients in achieving their estate planning goals and to provide clarity in assisting clients in navigating probate and trust matters.
He has been a member of the South Suburban Estate Planning Council since its inception and he is a Senior Member of the Southwest Bar Association. He lectures on Estate Planning and Probate before attorneys and the public.

Daniel Jordan Farrell
Attorney Daniel Jordan Farrell is a former Cook County Prosecutor who spent his years with the State’s Attorney’s Office enhancing his skills as a trial attorney as he tried hundreds of criminal cases before the judges of Cook County and several more to juries. Since he left the State’s Attorney’s Office, he has used these skills to represent plaintiffs who have been injured physically or taken advantage of financially in Cook, Will, and DuPage Counties. Dan has successfully resolved multiple personal injury cases through jury trials and settlements.
Dan has also continued his work in the criminal courts, diligently and skillfully representing citizens who have been charged with criminal or DUI offenses. He brings his extensive criminal trial experience and his knowledge of the processes of the criminal court system to each case. Being arrested can significantly affect the life and future of a person, and Dan has consistently used his experience to avoid or minimize these problems.

Kathleen Farrell Duhig
Attorney Kathleen Duhig focuses much of her practice on representing clients in probate court as well as maintaining a thriving estate planning practice geared toward helping clients avoid probate. She also represents individuals and entities in residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Katie spent much of a decade as a prosecutor for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, prosecuting complex felony and misdemeanor crimes ranging from murder and violent crimes to white collar and financial crimes. Her trial and courtroom experience has provided her with a unique background to represent clients in complex civil litigation. She advocates for clients with the same preparedness and skilled execution with which she represented the people of the State of Illinois.
Additionally, Katie is an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, where she instructs lawyers on courtroom advocacy skills. She is also adjunct faculty for Loyola University School of Law Accelerated Trial Advocacy Program.
