Attorney Kathleen Farrell Duhig inducted as President of the Southwest Bar Association

On Thursday, December 10, 2020, Kathleen Farrell Duhig, of West Beverly, was sworn in as the President of the Southwest Bar Association (SWBA). In the first of its kind, the SWBA conducted a virtual installation ceremony, where Kathleen (Katie) was sworn-in in the comfort of her home surrounded by her husband, Joe, their three children Tommy, Molly and Cameron, and her parents, Dan and Marcella Farrell. She took the Oath of Office administered by the Presiding Judge of the Fifth District, the Honorable Raymond Jagielski. Katie follows in her brother Dan Farrell’s footsteps; he was president of the SWBA in 2016. She practices estate planning, probate and real estate law with her father and her brother at the Law Offices of Farrell & Farrell in Oak Lawn.
Also installed as officers were Camilo Oceguera (Vice President), Danielle Vlcek (Treasurer) and Daniel Calandriello (Secretary).
The 2021 Board of Directors of the Southwest Bar Association includes the following: Jimmy Azzerello, Kimberly Boike, Katie Cotter Bowen, Kelly Doyle Coakley, Meaghan Doyle, Karla Fioni, Kimberly Gray, Shannon Harvey, Matt Heinlen, Tom Kantas, Dan LaChat, Katie Linehan, Sara McGann, Katie O’Malley, and Phil Terrazzino.
The Southwest Bar Association is a philanthropic organization comprised of attorney members practicing in all areas of the law. Its members participate in civic community affairs primarily serving the residents of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Cook County. The SWBA cultivates legal education among its members and fosters the science of jurisprudence.
